A Companion of Jesus

De Profundis – (Abortion)

Out of the depths I cry unto you O Lord……

For you created my inmost being….

You saw my body yet unformed…

All the days ordained for me were written in your book…before one of them came to be….

You covered me in my mother’s womb…

I have no voice to call to you.

Yet, my frame was not hidden from your sight

Undone from my mother’s womb.

I cry unto you

Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy….

Your tears wash away the blood from my form

Your love will call me from death’s dark tomb.

So Father forgive them,

My mother,

My father,

The doctor

The nurse

My sister,

My brother.

Forgive them “ for they know not what they do”.
