A Companion of Jesus

Unity in the Church does not mean that we must all agree with the views of bishops, priests, pastors, elders….

Unity in the Church does not mean that we must all agree with the views of bishops, priests, pastors, elders….or anyone else for that matter…but it does mean that we will make every effort to stay close together in God’s family bound in love so that the peace of the Lord will remain with us, especially when we have differences and differing opinions. Paul writing to the Church at Ephesus puts it like this, “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all……………….Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you..”
